I have been adding the phrase "may these _____ be free of..." at the end of my reflection of Compassion and then going into the Lovingkindness wish. The idea was to strengthen the short form of the Compassion and Lovingkindness. Do you see any troubles with this?

No I don't see any troubles with this, that's fine. As long as it doesn't replace the reflection side of Compassion. If it is just an addition to the reflection on Dukkha, its fine.
