Okay, interesting question. The way it is worded, I would say according to what I've read, yes, they're free from rebirth. Now, in any of the realms forever? Okay, the realms that are defined, there's thirty two or something realms that humans and animals are reborn into. Supposedly yes, they're free from rebirth in those realms. They enter the state of Nibbana (or in Sanskrit, nirvana). What does that mean? Is that some other type of realm or whatever? I can't answer that. But as to the realms that are defined within these teachings, by definition they have not been born in any of those realms.
