Question

How could a moment of pure awareness be objective? Isn't the way that we see, hear and feel always colored by our perspective?

Answer

Yes and no. Depends on what type of perspective we are looking from. It doesn't have to fuelled by our past unbeneficial perspectives, but whether we can become totally objective is something that only we can find out for ourselves. It's not something we can speculate.

If it wasn't possible to get out of our past unbeneficial conditioning, there would be no possibility of ending suffering. So there has to be a moment of purer awareness, a more objective awareness to be able to walk the path out of our past unbeneficial conditioning. There are moments where we actually see our beliefs and opinions. Past perspectives can change, as we examine other perspectives and "walk around" the object, seeing it more clearly.
