Can you please talk more about forgiving oneself and others?

I will give you a technique that can help. Compassion/Lovingkindness meditation done through your life on three different levels. You go back as young as you can, maybe 4 or 5 years old. You think of yourself at that time, give yourself a Compassion/Lovingkindness wish. "Yourself" is one level. Then think of everyone who was in your family life at that time. So, you think of your parents, brothers, sisters, and so on and give them a wish. Then think of your school or your friends you fought with when you were 4 or 5. Give them a Compassion/Lovingkindness wish. Go one year at a time to yourself, to your family, to your friends, at school you can add your teachers, you can add other people in your life, so that you are doing every year of your life on three different levels. Do that, go all the way up until who you are now. And what you may find is that you are going to open up more forgiveness for yourself and others.
