Question

For a person who is new or has limited experience in meditation is your retreat suitable or should he start by doing longer sitting, shorter retreats etc?

Answer

Our retreats at Wat Kow Tahm have been designed to be a very, very good way of starting the meditation practice, learning how to do the formal practice. They are not too long that most people can't do it - and they are not too short that we don't give all the information needed. So we feel that the amount of time we give for what we call 10 days, which is 9 nights, is very suitable, we try to teach in a way that beginning meditators can easily understand our practice and so in that way we do feel our retreats are very suitable for new people. They are also suitable for experienced people in the sense that we teach on different levels and we also give special advice in interviews that takes our old students to deeper understanding.
