Euthanasia of a pet. The question surrounding this is one reason why Rosemary and I don't have any pets. We don't want to make the decision. We know people who've made the decision in the past, and it's very, very difficult. I will say, for a lot of people who make the decision to kill the animal, "to put the animal down", it's just because they don't like seeing the pet in pain.
How many people, if they had more time, could take care of the pet, and allow the pet to die of its sickness? I think if someone really cared to do this, they could do it.
Taking care of the pet as best you can and allowing it to die of its own sickness is what I, personally, believe is best.
