If you have good morality and if you have good generosity, then by reflecting on it daily you'll become happier. Is that enough? That in itself is worth a lot. Now on top of this, when you reflect on your good morality and when you reflect on your good generosity, it will encourage you to keep that good morality, it will encourage you to be more generous. Because when you reflect on it and you get happiness from reflecting on it, then you want more of it, and if you reflect more on it, then of course you're going to be happier and happier. At the same time, you are going to be of more benefit for other people, as well. So reflection on our good morality and good generosity can actually stimulate us to keep our good morality and to do more generous actions.
Now, when you think about morality in particular, a lot of people in our society especially in the west, fall down on their morality. That is why many marriages break up, I have relatives where it was obvious to see; one of them had an affair, the other one did not, and the marriage broke apart. The people who had the affair fell down on the basic morality that they had promised their husband/wife when they got married. So if you actually reflect on how important having good morality is, then it can help guard us against breaking our morality by doing something that can cause pain for ourselves, for others and sometimes for many others.
