Immediate results in this life could be that people don't like you, you could get sued for saying untruthful things, you can lose your job, families can break up, you don't make new friends, etc. These are immediate results of unskillful speech in this life. And many will cause more unpleasant results in the future. Many results of negative speech can affect our well being.
