Yes, fame and praise, "wonderful". Yes, you could say that. But often conceit wants more than that. It isn't content giving oneself fame, it wants other people to recognize how wonderful we are, too. Unfortunately that is the way it is because many people if they were content to give themselves fame, there wouldn't be so many problems arising from this conceit. But unfortunately most people are not; they want to actually impose on others by putting other people down to show them how wonderful they are. So unfortunately it manifests in these ways as well, in not so nice ways.
