Question

I understood there is no proof of God, and Buddhism does not speak of a God. Buddhism speaks about Kamma and rebirth, is there proof of this?

Answer

As to proof of rebirth, I can't give you any. There are some people whom I know who have flashes of what they think is from a past life. I am one of them, I tried to discover if it was really true by going to a library and searching for a particular car, that I saw in my, you can call it, "vision". Two or three hours later, I couldn't find a picture of the car, so I realized that this was a kind of Dukkha, trying to prove something that really can't be proved, even if I found a picture of the car, and I gave up. Trying to prove something that really can't be proved is very difficult.

Now according to some Buddhist traditions people believe they have certain proof, but whether it is provable for you or not, this is a whole different point, you know, when we have the Kalama Sutta, we want to prove it for ourselves, so basically I can't give you any proof and you probably won't ever find it. The rebirth theory makes a lot of sense, but we can't totally prove it.
