If someone organizes a meditation group with different backgrounds, Zen, Tibetan Buddhism, etc. and the meditators are not very open and/or have not much Wisdom practice, would you join them? Then try to do questions and answers and/or talk about topics in your books?

In Sydney we get regular visits from the Dalai Lama. Would it be beneficial to participate in these visits? I'm a bit concerned about the difference between the Tibetan and the Vipassana traditions.
